So Mordred is going to be in Fate Apocrypha?

Good morning/evening/noon/night depending the time you may be reading this. The objetive of this post for today is to expose a character of my like that was considered male(i never believed it) to get confirmed female and that she will appear in the upcoming novel of Fate Apocrypha, you still don`t get the name? if you read in the title it is pretty clear i meant Mordred Pendragon! the news came to me 2 days ago and i greatly felt pleasure from hearing a character i really wanted to appear more in the franchise to get a good role and that the genderbend thing is over once and for all. without further ado i will give some more data of  my dear Mordred.

DISCLAIMER: i don`t own Mordred or any TYPE-MOON work or data i am simply using this data to reinforce my essay.

if you still believe Mordred is a dude read this:
Nasu - "Mordred is a girl, definitely. A man with that sort of outward appearance is... well, I guess a certain kind of person would consider it a prize, anyway. (laughs)" words from Nasu the big boss in type-moon.

Overview

Mordred, the "son" of King Arthur, but she is actually female despite being raised as the secret male heir to the throne. She was conceived between Altria and her sister, Morgan le Fay, through unorthodox circumstances. Altria, normally female, was a pseudo-male at the time due to Merlin's magecraft, so Morgan enchanted her with a spell to extract sperm from her. Morgan developed it within her own ovary, and made the child into a homunculus clone of Altria. Due to her status as a homunculus, she was given a much faster growth period than a regular human being, and her life span was far shorter. She was raised in secret and told to hide her status and obey the king.
Mordred in her armor
Told that it is her right to inherit the throne, Morgan bid her to one day defeat the King and take "his" place. She did bare that same obsession as her mother, but before all that was her adoration for King Arthur. She felt ashamed of her twisted birth, unconsciously acting jealous of normal people, and, with the special innocence that children possess, she worshipped the "perfect king." Given a helmet she was told never to remove in front of other people, she was eventually sent to Camelot under Morgan's recommendation, and through a presentation of her own superb swordsmanship, became one of the Knights of the Round Table. She was given her sword despite her unknown origins because of her abilities and straightforward mental chivalry.
She protected the way of the knights much like that which could only be found in picture books, working hard daily in being the ideal knight, all while hiding her dislike of others. In the end, even that innocence was shattered by Morgan, who revealed the secrets of her birth. She learned of her parentage and was told that the King didn't know either. Morgan tried to instill that the King would never accept such a filthy child, but she was, while shocked, wrapped in joy. While not a proper human being, sharing the same blood as the King, being the "son" of a superior king, she was proud of the fact that she was not human. She felt that in name, reality, mind, and body that she was fit to be the true successor of the King.
She went without having the slightest feelings of rebellion, spurred on by the truth, and approached the King with delight. Raised without a father, the King was the very form of a godlike "father" to her, but Altria rejected her very clearly. She said that, while Mordred is certainly born from her and her sister's plotting, that she will not recognize Mordred as her "son" or give her the throne. Mordred believed that it was all due to the King's hatred for Morgan, that it would be impossible for her "son" to be accepted. Thinking that was the reason her title was the weakest, believing that no matter how hard she tried, even if she excelled over everyone, that the King would forever view her as a dirtied child from the moment she was born from Morgan, her great love for the king up until then made her hatred burn.
Mordred as she appears in Fate Apocrypha
Mordred`s final battle with her "father"
Modred`s helmet is destroyed revealing her face.
Resulting from that, the distrust of the Round Table towards the King spread, and the reigns of power in Camelot were seized once the King departed for the Rome expedition. Mordred became the leader of the rebellion, representing the national discontent towards Arthur. After the King finally returned from a long and tiresome battle, Mordred raged, claiming that she hated the King and that only she was fit for the throne. The truth of the matter was that she only wanted to be accepted by Altria and wanted to be called "son" by her. The conflict eventually lead towards a final fight, where both armies were dying in heated battle. The few knights that stayed with the King soon died off, leaving only the two of them standing.
The two faced each other on a hill of swords, where Mordred pointed out that the country had ended and that the victor no longer mattered because everything was gone. Blaming the situation on the King for not giving her the crown, she asked if the King hated the "son of Morgan" that much. Altria emotionlessly replied, "Not once did I despise you. There was only one reason I would not give you the throne. You didn't have the capacity of a King." Mordred charged forward while driven on by passion, and was eventually defeated in single combat, collapsing while still impaled by a spear. Freed of the mask forced upon her, with a face identical to her "father", she said "....Fa-ther", all while reaching out to touch the King with blood-soaked hands at least once, but was not even granted that wish as she fell. Due to being bound by a strong curse, Mordred still swung her sword after her death, leaving a fatal wound on Altria

Personality
since the novel hasn`t been released very little is known about her real personality besides her small dialogues and her acts as a knight of the round table. From what we know is that she is a very loyal knight towards her king (Arturia) and is mentioned on several ocassions to have a swordsmanship to a degree similar to that of her "father" and sir Lancelot himself.Mordred seems to have a very childish nature despite doing a great political revolt at her time just to have her "father" call her "son". with a small kanji i found at type-moon wikia she says:"The next time I'm called a girl, I won't be able to restrain myself" this indicates she dislikes her own gender and beauty just because many people on her age and modrn ones believe "girls can`t be knights" or maybe because due to the gender she has she has the same problems her dad had to achieve the throne.having being raised as a different creature from normal hum,ans she seems to have envy from normal children with parents.

Noble phantasm

Clarent Blood Arthur: Rebellion Against My Beautiful Father
Since the novel hasn`t been released nothing big is known about this weapon.

final words

Believe me when i`m saying i did enjoyed doing this work! it feels very good to know a character which obviously was a girl the whole time gets confirmed from the very same creator and that she finally receives a good role in a huge work (i`m cheering you Mordred for the new war!). i have to thank deeply to the TYPE-MOON wikia for their information which from i would be unable to do this. without further to say i desire you a good morning/evening/noon/night depending the time you may be reading this.

Genderswap in Fate/stay night

Genderswap in Fate/stay night

Hello  people, have a nice morning/day/evening/night depending the time you may be Reading this or accidentally bumped here. The reason of my post is due to my “controlable” and non addictive hook to TYPE-moon`s fate franchise, i love all the fate series : Fate/stay night, Fate/Zero, Fate/hollow ataraxia, fate/extra and even the non canon carnival phantasm. I really like the series despite the fact that they change some heroic spirits from the past to pretty girls (note that even when pretty they can take out Orochimaru`s butt easier tan a Sannin team). This is done for fan service or to pervs out there to have some fantasies with them(me included XD)  and to have a romance issue in the series. Without losing the point i hope that with this post i not only do a mediocre class job but, to create an interest from my viewers on how awesome and cool the fate franchise is. Without further filler i will start. just for the record i don`t own Fate/stay night or fate/extra or Fate/ Apocrypha these works belong to Type-moon, neither am i the owner of this images they are only used for recreational porpouses.

Overview
Since i`m not going in deep with servant classes, noble phantasms or with magecraft here, i will do just a brief bio on the original heroic spirit and then a bio on the fate character. Note this is the beginning of the age i will post so much Fate/Zero people will troll me to death. Without losing point i will begin speaking about: “King Arthur”, “emperor Nero”,”Jack the ripper” “Frankestein” and  “Sir Francis Drake”.

King Arthur/ Arturia Pendragon
What you think right now:

According to legend:
King Arthur is a legendary British leader of the late 5th and early 6th centuries, who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defence of Britain against Saxon invaders in the early 6th century. The details of Arthur's story are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention, and his historical existence is debated and disputed by modern historians. The sparse historical background of Arthur is gleaned from various sources, including the Annales Cambriae, the Historia Brittonum, and the writings of Gildas. Arthur's name also occurs in early poetic sources such as Y Gododdin.
What we get in fate:

According to fate:
Saber's true identity is Arturia Pendragon (アルトリア・ペンドラゴン, also romanized as Artoria and Arturia?), better known as Arthur Pendragon (アーサー・ペンドラゴン, ?) and King Arthur, who is regarded as a male in history. She is the "Once and Future King" and a legendary hero of England.
While Arthur is a hero well known as a model for knights, it is said he actually existed as "Dux Bellorum", the king of War, and was a great general who led the twelve kings of Northern England, Gododdin, while preventing foreign invasion from forces such as the Scottish and the Picts. This identity of the real great leader behind the legend of King Arthur has many variations, and it is though that there may have been two people who fit the description of the king. One is the full Briton Arthur, while the other is the Roman Arturius, and their two separate sets of accomplishments are said to have merged into the legend of King Arthur that is known in the present time.

Nero Claudius
What you think right now:

According to myth:
Nero (Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus); 15 December 37 – 9 June 68)was Roman Emperor from 54 to 68, and the last in the Julio-Claudian dynasty. Nero was adopted by his great-uncle Claudius to become his heir and successor, and succeeded to the throne in 54 following Claudius' death. During his reign, Nero focused much of his attention on diplomacy, trade, and enhancing the cultural life of the Empire. He ordered theaters built and promoted athletic games. During his reign, the redoubtable general Corbulo conducted a successful war and negotiated peace with the Parthian Empire. His general Suetonius Paulinus crushed a revolt in Britain and also annexed the Bosporan Kingdom to the Empire, beginning the First Roman–Jewish War.

what we get in fate:

Just for the record she is not another incarnation of the girl above neither she is the same person she is just similar (actually smaller Arturia is 1.57 m while Nero is 1. 45 or a midget)

According to myth:
Saber's identity is Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, the Fifth Roman Emperor. She had the reputation of a notorious tyrant whose rule was made up of schemes and poison as she oppressed all religious forces, especially Christians, and the Roman Senate during the period from 50 to 60 AD. It is believed in one theory that the Book of Revelation was written as a reaction against said oppression. She was regarded in the same light as the devil, as the assumed Hebrew pronunciation of of her name as a emperor, Caesar pronounced as "NRVN QSR", equates with the "Number of the Beast". This name and the "Beast of Babylon" refers to Rome itself and it is not an alias given to her as an individual.

Jack the Ripper

What you think right now :

According to legend:
Jack the Ripper" is the best-known name given to an unidentified serial killer who was active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the White chapel district of London in 1888. The name originated in a letter, written by someone claiming to be the murderer, that was disseminated in the media. The letter is widely believed to have been a hoax, and may have been written by a journalist in a deliberate attempt to heighten interest in the story. Other nicknames used for the killer at the time were "The White chapel Murderer" and "Leather Apron".

What we get in fate:

According to fate:
Jack is the perpetrator of a series of gory murders in 19th Century England. She grew up without ever having a home, and spent her time living in the streets. She was extremely thin, and lived outside even during cold weather. She only has memories of the alleyways shrouded in mist and stench. The areas where she slept were not places of rest, but rather nests covered in waste and feces where filthy rats ran about. She was in constant danger of being attacked at night while she slept, and upon waking up on the morning, someone may have easily died during the night. She constantly dealt with pitch black smog so bad that she often couldn't breath properly or even open her eyes. She eventually reached the point where her mind she could no longer deal with the conditions. Upon randomly finding prostitutes, she would impose her image of a mother onto them. After being rejected, she would simply wander the streets once more without change. If she came into contact with her "Mother" again, she would slowly approach within the mist, and after saying "I'm sorry", she would slit their throats. As they were in anguish, she began to dissect them while in tears. After obtaining a part of the woman, she would press it against her face and cry while remembering the warmth of her mother's womb.

Sir Francis Drake
What you think right now:

According to the legend:
Sir Francis Drake, Vice Admiral (1540 – 27 January 1596) was an English sea captain, privateer, navigator, slaver, and politician of the Elizabethan era. Elizabeth I of England awarded Drake a knighthood in 1581. He was second-in-command of the English fleet against the Spanish Armada in 1588. He also carried out the second circumnavigation of the world, from 1577 to 1580. He died of dysentery in January 1596[1] after unsuccessfully attacking San Juan, Puerto Rico. His exploits were legendary, making him a hero to the English but a pirate to the Spaniards to whom he was known as El Draque, Draque being the Spanish pronunciation of "Drake". His name in Latinised form was Franciscus Draco (Francis the Dragon).[2] King Philip II was claimed to have offered a reward of 20,000 ducats,[3] about £4 million (US$6.5M) by modern standards, for his life.

What we get in fate:

According to fate:
he person who circumnavigated the globe and paved the way for England to become the dominate superpower in the Age of Discovery through its substantial earnings. This person was also the one who was given credit for the virtual destruction of Spain's Invincible Armada, which caused the nation once thought of as "the kingdom on which the sun will never set" to teeter on the edge of collapse. She is a person who has dedicated her life to hedonistic pursuits and sees no difference between a paragon of virtue and a rogue scoundrel. She revels in all things gaudy, whether they are in war or in her private life, and is content to chase after ephemeral pleasures and leave nothing of worth behind, much like the passing of a raging storm. She is particularly entranced with treasures of gold and sliver, but her true love lies not with enduring treasure, but those treasures that explode like fireworks and then quickly fade away. As she so often declares, "I chase after gold so that I can scatter it like a storm!" It is for this reason that she is wholly incompatible with the Hero of Legend that symbolizes "an inexhaustible treasury." She would also be at odds with the fox-eared Caster, as Caster is the epitome of eternity. As a devoted libertine, all that matters to her is the inevitable crash at the end of it all. A Legendary Spirit who is completely indifferent to the frailty of human existence, she is content to indulge in her own whims and desires until death comes to greet her. She died of dysentery at the age of 55. Her dying wish was that she be buried in her full armor.

 Sir Mordred
Before i get started i just want to mention something: in TYPE-MOON it is quite unclear whether Sir Mordred`s gender was genuinely swapped or if it is just s BIG misunderstanding. personally i`ll take Mordred as a girl in the fate franchise simply because she/he is a clone of Arturia Pendragon( she calls Arturia "father") made from her blood, another good evidence is the fact that in all dubs she is voiced with a light feminine voice and her armor is somewhat bigger near the chest... still some claim he/she is a boy for some odd reason. you can take it as you want however, i still believe Mordred is a girl.
what you think right now:

 according to myth.

Mordred or Modred (/ˈmdrɛd/; Welsh: Medraut, Medrod, etc.) is a character in the Arthurian legend, known as a notorious traitor who fought King Arthur at the Battle of Camlann, where he was killed and Arthur fatally wounded. Tradition varies on his relationship to Arthur, but he is best known today as Arthur's illegitimate son by one of his half-sisters, Morgan le Fay or Morgause. In earlier literature, he was considered the legitimate son of Morgause, also known as Anna, with her husband King Lot of Orkney. His brothers or half-brothers are Gawain, Agravain, Gaheris, and Gareth, along with a few other half brothers or sisters. The name (from either Old Welsh Medraut, Cornish Modred, or Old Breton Modrot) is ultimately derived from Latin Moderātus.[

 what we get in fate:

                                                               according to fate:

As King Arthur was in fact Arturia Pendragon, it should have been impossible for her to father a child. However, Arturia's sister Morgan enchanted her with sorcery; due to Merlin's subsequent magecraft, Arturia was temporarily transformed into a pseudo-male. Mordred is a homunculus created from sperm extracted from Arturia during that period. He developed within Morgan's ovary and was born as a complete male clone of Arturia. As a homunculus, Mordred had a much higher growth rate and a shorter lifespan than a human.

Morgan raised him as her son, telling him that if he hid his status by never removing his helmet and obeyed the king, he would some day defeat the king and inherit the throne. Despite being a masked knight of unknown origins, his abilities in swordsmanship and straightforward chivalry earned him a place in Camelot; he became one of the Knights of the Round Table on Morgan's recommendation. He bore the obsession placed on him by his mother, but at the same time, his childish innocence caused him to adore Arturia and worship her as the "perfect king." shamed over his twisted birth, Mordred held an unconscious envy towards normal people. He suppressed that emotion in order to strive hard to be an ideal knight that protected the way of the knights in such a way that could only be found in picture books. Morgan eventually shattered his innocence by revealing that he was a child born between her and Arturia, and that the king would never accept such a filthy child. Initially, he was proud to be the son of the king, even thinking it a blessing to be a superior homunculus, capable of succeeding the king in name, mind, and body. Unfortunately, Arturia completely rejected him, and refused to recognize him as an heir. Mordred believed the reason that he was not accepted was due to the hatred Arturia bore Morgan, and that no matter how much he worked to excel over others, he would forever be viewed as a tainted existence. The love he had for the king up until that point was so great that Arturia's rejection made his hatred burn. Mordred exploited the growing distrust of the Round Table towards Arturia and rebelled while she was on an expedition to Rome. Camelot fell under his control. He became the leader of the rebellion, representing the national discontent towards their king and claiming that he was the one fit for the throne. Though Mordred claimed to hate the king, his true wish was for Arturia to call him "son."

During their final clash on a hill of swords, he lamented that the country was destroyed beyond repair, and that he would have prevented it had he been given the crown. He asked Arturia, "Did you hate me, the son of Morgan, that much?!"; Arturia emotionlessly replied, "Not once did I despise you. There was only one reason I would not give you the throne. You didn't have the capacity of a King." Defeated in single combat, Mordred's final blow struck true against Arturia. Impaled by her spear, the helmet forced upon him shattered, revealing the face identical to Arturia's. With his blood-soaked hands, he reached out to touch the king at least once while saying "....Fa-ther." His final wish went unfulfilled as he fell.

                                             Why TYPE-MOON changes their gender?
Fanservice maybe, or maybe they try to bring more heroines to the plot due to the lack of heroines in the mythology and history, still it can be assumed that the writers try to relate them to the rest of the male protagonists in a different way (most people woudn`t like a male Arthur with Shirou).

If anyone read until here i`m surprised. I really enjoyed doing this post and i hope that you may like or even better get hoked int fate franchise. It was really fun to do this and i hope you can keep supporting the blog. Have a nice morning/day/night!

The Tai clones

good morning/evening/noon/night depending the time you may be reading this. the simple end of this porpouse is quite simple, show all the clones of Taichi Yagamai from digimon adventure 01 and compare them to the original. there is no other end to this, but to simply have fun messing with digimon.

Overview or Tai`s description in this case

Tai in adventure 01
Tai in adventure 02
Taichi Yagami is young boy with a brave and sometimes hot-headed nature. he is kind and sometimes aggressive. he is one of the persons who is used to take on leadership in a group and try to become the "hero". due to his somewhat impulsive nature he is prone to commit many mistakes in which we include sometimes overseeing the others needs or problems. despite his immature nature Tai is a very good friend and partner, nor retreating neither holding back much less fleeing. he is very outgoing and brave his emblem is courage) taking little importance of his own life to save others. his personality drastically changes in adventure 02 when he becomes much more mature and calm, i would say he was brain swapped due to the fact he changed so much that he looks like a different person in adventure 02. he is more cunning and calm, laid back and easygoing.his leadership skills changed drastically, he is not the leader but just a "member". the most important fact is that he created the google fashion and the reptile digimon fashion. he is the very first and legendary chosen child to be copied (i`m not saying the others weren`t). in a short answer he is the very first leader to who personality and model is copied in later series.

the bad-made clones

Davis Motomiya
the very first "clone" Tai got and to date the only one he is really related. in appearance Davis or Daisuke to others is phisically alike to Tai excepto for shorter hair which is more red in his case. Davis inherits Tai`s emblem of courage which clearly leads to him being the replacement leader in this new story. his personality is however much different from Tai`s. he is much less impulsive, more cooperative, somewhat less rash and definitely despite all clear routes he IS NOT THE REAL LEADER. to be clear in this sense he never was a proper leader (T.K actually was the true leader) and never did that much to keep a group. he mas far more romantic and emotional with his crush Kari or Hikari to others. (ironically Tai`s sister). his digimon has great resemblance to Agumon, both are dragons or reptiles, share the fire attributee and are very close to their partners. to conclude Davis is phisically similar to Tai but, his persona was more similar to an openhearted Matt. he never was a proper leader and was definitely not as impulsive as Tai.

Takato Matsuda

to begin with he is a CRYBABY ssensible boy. he is not exactly alike to Tai phiscally (except for the googles and the usual protagonist with the dinosaur digimon) and his persona is much different from his. he is sensible, somewhat shy and a little coward (this changes as the series progresses). he is definitely not hte sticker of the group as Tai was, he barely made friends with Rika and Henry and was not exactly the glue of the relationship. his status as the leader of the group is even more different form Tai`s since in reality he like Davis/Daisuke was never a proper leader. he however shared the same feeling Tai had for his beloved digimon when they turned berserk (Skullgreymon for Tai and Megidramon for Takato) and developed far more courage and friendship as the series goes on. he i far more similar to Joe from adventure 01/02 if you think better of it...

Takuya Kanbara

finally the only well made clone!, but not perfect to clear out. Takuya like the whole digimon frontier series is basically an analogy of the original series, he is very similar to Tain in apperance (the googles ain`t missing here) and he is around the smae age as Tai, heck even his evolutions are a direct reference to Agumon and his evolutions. (Agunimon,BurningGreymon,Aldamon,KaiserGreymon and Susanoomon which is similar to Omegamon) his leadership skills are very similar to Tai`s and he is basically the absolute leader and protagonist with Koji. his personality is once again very similar to Tai: very enthusiastic, has a crush for the gril in the group(Zoey/Mizoe), becomes the leader of the group, is the first  to gain the evolution and his emblem is fire which is directly a reference to Agumon`s main atribute. he however has certain characteristics that differ him from the original protagonist, he is far lesss friendly to his younger bro unlike Tai which was overprotective to Kari most of the series, is somewhat less impulsive since he never harmed or tried to fight any of his allies (unless you count Koichi as Duskmon) and is definitely the type of guy which at least plans before acting (nah Tai ain`t have a plan for something.

Marcus/Masaru Daimon

AKA as the guy that solves everything with his deux ex machina punch. to begin with he is older than Tai and physically( he doesn`t wear googles!) he is not alike to his in, mostly, however he does share certain similarities with Tai in persona but to a higher degree. he is even more impulsive and hot-headed than the original Tai often recurring to violence and a fight to solve everything (he fought his Agumon in a fist fight) and is less likely to speak things. he again is the typical "i am the protagonist and hero" hoewever like Takato and Davis/Daisuke he is not the true leader of the group, Touma/Thomas was in fact. despite not sharing certain charcteristics he does share some things in his personality with Tai like: being an overprotective or afective brother hto his younger sister Chika/Christy, being a brave moron boy and his true and even deeper friendship with his fellow digimon. Masaru/Marcus may not be a clone or even a copy to my opinion he is a different character that tries to break with the clonemania and indeed succeeds at this.

Taiki Kudou

my favorite protagonist to date! i woudn`t call him a clone exactly. he is WAY more different than Tai(at least the one in adventure 02) in personality, but since he is a protagonist in digimon he is classified a s a clone. to begin with his hair is spiky and is somewhat alike to Tai`s, he is around the same age Tai was in adventure 01 and is wears the typical googles (only Masaru broke the law). his leadership skills are even better than Tai since he is able to control and keep the a bigger group in order and control i, he despite this is a good tactician something unseen in other leaders or protagonists. his kindness is way more impressive than the other clones and Tai himself, he will protect and help anyone whenever he can even against their will or if they refuse this is caused due to a childhood trauma he had when he was unable to help a kid who was caught in the middle of the rain and Taiki offered his help, but the kid refused and eventually faded away and an ambulance came to pick him up. since then Taiki is like Shirou Emiya from Fate/stay night helping everyone and anyone.his digimon is not exactly a clone from Agumon, much less i would clasify him as a clone of Agumon, Shoutmon is very different in skills and evolutions. to end with Taiki like Masaru is a different concept from the original protagonist whic becomes and independent character from the original protagonist, he is indeed a better version of Tai (someone will troll me for this)

final words

this was fun to do! i really hope you can enjoy this material and leave any comments if you please. (putting a comment won`t kill you) please have a nice day/noon/night and keep tuned since i usually bring out fresh material when i smoke think deeply

disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THIS PICTURES NEITHER DIGIMON OR THE CHARACTERS.
